Isla Holbox is a paradise island 35 km long and 2 km wide.

  • Instead of the influx of tourism, the island has about 15 miles of beautiful, uninhabited sugary white sand beach and is home to a small fishing village.

  • Pods of dolphins live off the coast and dolphin viewing is spectacular.

  • Kayak or boat to an area where the fishing is great!

  • As peaceful and quiet as this island is, there is still lots to do for the active heart.  You can bicycle around the island or take a horseback ride along the deserted beaches.

Villas Defines

Located a few minutes from the village is Villas Delfines.  The ten cabanas scatted on the beach were designed to blend into the landscape and add to the natural beauty of the area.  In true eco fashion, Delfines uses solar energy, collects rain water, and recycles organic waste.  The cabanas are roomy, yet rustic.  Each has two double beds and one single bed.  All have private bath, floors made of native wood, ceiling fan, 24 house electricity and warm water, safe and a large porch with hammocks.  The restaurant serves up good food and also doubles as a great gathering place to share the day's adventures.
